Local country radio station South 107 rolls out a new evening show Monday night as the station replaces longtime 6 to midnight personality Lia. Lia has occupied the 6 to midnight slot for the past 7 years.
Replacing Lia will be "The Big time with Whitney Allen." Allen is a former KIIS FM personality and previously worked for the program After midnight with Blair Garner.

Okay, so to recap...South 107 replaces a canned, female, evening  personality with...another canned, female evening personality.

This is the big news we waited all weekend for?

Southern Broadcasting can wake me up when someone live is added to the roster. I used to work for them, and wanted that 6p-12a shift really badly...now, I've just given up on anyone entertaining holding that shift anymore. Sad state of affairs for local radio.

Wtsh ....All the broadcasting power  most stations could only dream of... wasted on  seudo-syndication , and  country music....  great for the loyal listener, but  an aggravation for  many others.  it happens to occasionally ''bleed over''... onto 107.5 WJZZ -Atlanta(a smooth jazz station)..and occasional  signal cross-over  to aircraft  low band...around 118.or so...  the major market..it is heading for it... rome behind completely, and  locate studios  in metro atlanta...like all the television stations that originated  in rome have  done.... this is the launching pad for  all media....nothing  good ever stays here..so it wont be long before south..leaves us for the big advertising market... and  forgets about the local advertisers... not in the best public interest... not locally anyways...on my home stereo(kenwood fm reciever)... im trying to pick out  WJZZ 107.5 from  MOUTH 107...but on many nights its kind of hard without a television antenna.... and so the complaint filings go out to the F.C.C and fall on deaf ears......if you like SOUTH 107  then it is  a good thing...but if you are a  fm tracker like i am...it is a techs worst nightmare...they situated 50'000 watts  to cover so many markets that  it has a tendency to overmodulate. i have had  some  times when it came  across my  television set(rare weather conditions)... you just gotta love that...thank goodness i have satellite....now...

I heard a RUMOR - that a well known radio personality is leaving Q102/South 107. Not by choice.

Has anyone else heard this?

I don't know for sure. I heard that well liked personality is leaving or has been let go.

I was thinking that RNW could confirm or deny the "rumor"

I am in total SHOCK if it is true.
